A golden manarch butterfly flew by unaware of a young yearling awaiting him deep in the long grass. As the monarch landed on the roof of a bright orange marigold, He was pounced on just barely escaping the yearling mare.
The young yearling grinned her teeth with anger, but soon kept attacking the monarch. She was a young paint quarter horse mare who has been on her own since she could remember but why she was alone at her age but unknown to her but in reality her mother was forcebred but the darkest of all stallions and left her mother alone shortly after breeding with her. Her mother later died hours after summer's birth because the stallion's rage brought amoung a terible desease that took her life shortly after foaling.
She lifted her head and scanned the clearing with her amber orbs. Spotting the monarch once again she pounced catching the monarch by it's wing then gently letting it go. She crouched in the grass looking arounf before giving a long sigh of boredom colapsing into the grass. She stared up at the cloud noticing a butterfly shaped cloud. As She lowered her maw, the monarch landed onto her nose giving her kisses till she gave a sneeze.
Summer stretched and gave a big yawn as she let the grass tickle her belly. She smiled and listened to the calm summer air. The filly felt the monarch tickle her nose once more before departing to a marigold a few metres away. Summer fell into a deep haze before dozing off.

The blue stag grimaced at the innocence of the female youth he saw before him, however, his approach was continued for the sake of his future harem. He wasn't one of those heartless darks with plans to enslave the little lady-- in the full sense of the word-- but he hated to see such a resource wasted. And, since he'd observed the flicka for several days with no other around to take her in, he decided he would just have to give it a go himself.
Lady of the monarchs, he greeted with a smooth tone, What brings you out here, where you are all alone? Do you not know of the dangers out here for such a young equine?
It was hard to get the youngster's attention from that butterfly, although Zuli did already admire such tender motherly qualities that had yet to be learned by other, older mares. Perhaps he could put this to use...

Summer awoke from the quick doze with the monarch tickling her right ear. She lepted up quickly and pounced back on the monarch. It had been a while since she had fun like this and she enjoyed it. The monarch landed on her right ear telling her someone was there.
She turned to the mare that stood infront of her and with a quick jump of surprizement she stared back up at the Stallion. She listened as the stallion called her "Lady of the monarch" she smiled before hearing of dangers, dangers she was not afraid of. She stood tall repling to the stallion before her, "I've been alone all my life and nothing bad ever happens to me"
She looked to him with great watery pupils awaiting his response. The monarch perched on her ear opened and closed it's wings rapidly as it too seemed anxious to hear what the stallion had to say.

So what did he have here? A tomboyish, rugged youngster? Perhaps, but it was worth it if he could catch her while young and transform her into a refined harem member. He couldn't afford to be picky just yet.
That's a good view of it, if you don't count being alone all your life as something bad. Perhaps you would wish to have some company instead?
He stepped closer to her, stretching forward his stocky serpentine to greet her, mistakenly frightening the winged insect. He turned to watch it quickly flutter away. He nickered softly, and another miniscule creature arrived, dancing gently above Lazuli's mug. This one was a charming pastel-yellow butterfly.

Summer turned and watched as the monarch flew away. She stepped forward to follow it but soon turned back to teh stallion infront of her. She stood still, "Comapany?" she thought and nodded her maw still looking up towards teh stallion before adding in her thoughts, "That would be nice"
She stepped forward looking at the stallion, "What makes you think i need you company?"
(you'll have to forgive my iliterate response as i was half asleep when i wrote this)

The blue stepped closer, locks swaying slowly behind him. His features relaxed and tone grew sweeter as he attempted to woo the flicka.
Aye, but you know "We're all lonely for something we don't know we're lonely for. How else to explain the curious feeling that goes around feeling like missing somebody we've never even met?" Everybody needs a friend.
