Cami snorted loudly and dodged out of the way of the water, lifting her head high above the water. She was already soaked, her light coat so wet that pink skin showed clearly underneath it. So it was really pointless to have dodged the wave of water.
The dirt that had covered her stomach and legs when she slid to a halt was gone, replaced by yet more water. She waded deeper into the water, throwing her soaked mane and sending a gentle spray of droplets into the air. She grinned over at Mizu, now swimming in a small circle to stay afloat.
"Come on out deeper!"

"But, I can't swim! Or can I? I don't know," she waded in deeper, until the water reached at least six inches beneath the bottom of her head.

"Well, I really hope you can swim, since you're already in here," Cami giggled.
Half-worriedly, she paddled her way over to the other filly, startling several fish swimming with her thrashing hooves. As her hooves touched the ground, she kicked up great amounts of sand and a few rocks, but ignored them as she regained her balance on all four hooves.
"Swimming's not that hard, though, even if you don't know how."

((I hope it's not a problem for me to bring one of my charries into this! Khalith is getting rather bored while waiting around at the Claiming Fields )) The bright morning sunlight glistened off the brazen coat of a young chestnut stallion. His gait was graceful, his movements lithe as he cantered along. He took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh breeze refreshing to his lungs. Noises reached the stud's ears and he halted, pricking his auds in the direction of the sounds. He could hear voices, as well as the sound of water splashing. Intensely curious, the young stallion moved into a brisk trot. It was not long before he could see the Lake, where two femmes were swimming about in the water. He halted, clearing his throat politely to announce his presence, just in case he had not been noticed. He did not want to inadvertly terrify someone because he'd not made any noise to warn others that he was there. Though he couldn't imagine anyone being terrified of him; his mother had always told him he was too curious to be terrifying (except for all the poor little bugs and small animals that had been at the recieving end of his curiousity). He grinned at the memory, then turned his attention to the two equines he had come upon.

Mizu laughed, "I guess you're right!" She splashed in deeper, and began to swim around, though with much splashing. "I can do it!" she exclaimed, swimming around in circles.

Khalith watched the two faes splashing and playing in the water, a curious tilt to his sculpted profile. He drew so close that his hooves were nearly in the water, waiting to be acknowledged by one of the other equines before saying anything.

Mizu stopped splashing and swimming, and turned to Khalith, staring at him with big eyes. Suddenly, she began laughing and smiling, and fell over, still giggling. When she stood up, she said," It's 'kay, I'm not laughing at you. I'm just laughing!" She began to laugh, again.

Khalith was about to reassure the mare when she stared at him with her wide eyes, but was halted when she began to laugh. He raised an eyebrow, but did not appear offended. Rather, he looked amused.
'What is so funny?'

"Nothing. It was just a giggle-attack," she smiled again. Mizu stuck out a hoof," I'm Mizu, and that's my friend, Cami!" She motioned to her new friend.

Bowing low, Khalith responded, 'It is a great pleasure to meet you both.'
Raising his head, the young stag arched his neck and introduced himself. 'I am Brazen Storm, but you may call me Khalith if you so desire.'

The young filly found herself giggling along with Mizu, kicking her legs around to stay afloat. It was a moment before she could control herself.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, too," Cami responded, dipping her head respectfully as best she could while swimming. Instead of the graceful bow she had hoped for, half of her head went underwater, and she sank several feet before managing to thrash her way back to the surface again.

"Nice to meet ya, Khalith!" Mizu said, before falling backwards into the water. Swimming was fun. She paddled out to the middle, then went in circles.

Khalith grinned at the pair.
The brazen-coated stud was still young enough that splashing about in water was not considered below him or undignified. In the opinions of many of his peers and elders, it was feared he might never truly grow up.
'Mind if I join you?' Khalith inquired.

"No," Mizu said, before spouting water from her mouth like a fountain.
