Zerameth was as completely and totally lost as a horse could ever be. For over a week she had wandered aimlessly, with no idea where she was headed nor which direction might lead her back to familiar territory.
The Fell mare shook her mane slightly, mentally berating herself. If only she'd listened to the old stallion at the ford, she'd never have crossed while the river was in flood. She would not have been carried by the swelling currents down the river, senseless to all until it had deposited her on the bank far from where she had entered. She would never have kept going and gotten herself completely lost.
With a great deal of effort, Zera forced herself to cease her self-beratement. After all, it would do no good in getting her out of her predicament. She wasn't sure if there really was anything that could help that though.
Gazing around her, she nodded to herself. Yep; she was most definitely hopelessly lost.
The sun was shining down from a clear blue sky. The grass glistened wetly, testament to the rains that were prevalent that early spring. In spite of her predicament, Zerameth had to admit that she felt curious of this land she found herself in. Now there was one of two things she could do: she could try to find her way to her intended destination, or she could satisfy her curiousity and explore this place. The Fell decided on the latter. After all, why stumble on a strange new land if you had no intention of exploring?
Hoof-falls silent in the damp grass, Zera started forward on her explorations. She'd been going for a short time when a strange, thunderous roar came to her pricked ears. Confused at first, and thinking it might be some sort of predator, the black mare tensed. Unable to resist a closer look at what might be making the strange sound, Zera inched cautiously forward.
When the Fell femme saw the waterfall, her jaw nearly dropped at the splendour and beauty of the falls. Never in her life had she ever seen such a thing. Intent on seeing this magnificent landmark closer, Zera drew closer. As she did so, she noted the lake in which the water of the falls tumbled into.
This place is lovely she thought with a smile as she drew closer.
